Leave Bangkok by motor coach for Ayutthaya, the ancient Siamese capital for 420 years. Today, Ayutthaya has some of Thailand's most important historical landmarks, located 80 km north of Bangkok.
Continue to the nearby Bang-Pa-In, the summer residence of early Chakri Kings. King Rama V spents a great deal of time here and built a collection of objects d'art. The Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace consists of buildings in Gothic, Renaissance, Chinese and Thai architecture.
The province is a treasure throve of evocative ruins of once magnificent palaces, temples and fortresses. Here you will see Wat Mahathat, Wat Na Phra Mane and Wat Lokayasutharam.
Cruise back to Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River, aboard the deluxe River Sun Cruiser, en route observe the scenic river life as you enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch.
Itinerary
07:00 Hrs. Pick up from various hotel in Bangkok Depart Bangkok by air-conditioned coach to Ayutthaya from the River City Shopping Complex. 09.15 Hrs. Arrive at BangPa-In Summer Palace. Visit the Palace which built for great relationship of Thai, Chinese and European. Depart to AyutthayaAncient Capital. The former Capital for over 417 years. The ruin and the remains structure signified the prosperous era of Siam Kingdom. -Wat Maha That: Over 600 years, was the heart and soul of the Ayutthaya people. It was almost completely destroyed by the Burmese during Thai-Burmese war -Wat Na Phra Mane. Remains in perfect condition, as it was used as the Burmese headquarters. The splendid Golden Buddha, dressed in regal attire, was placed in the temple along with the three thousand-year-old green stone carved Buddha. Both are considered as extremely valuable national relics. 16.30 Hrs.
-Wat Lokayasutharam, has a mysterious past, whereby its origins are unknown. The temple enshrines a Largest Reclining Buddha Image which was built during the early period of Ayutthaya legend. The other two ancient temples, as well as the ruined site also surround the compound area. Depart for the river cruise. Let have delicious buffet lunch on board. Afternoon—Coffee Break. En route enjoy scenery and the real Thai life style along the Chao Phraya River. Arriving at the city, pass the Royal Grand Palace, Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn). Arrive at the River City Complex then transfer to hotel.
