River Tour Let yourself be flown away in a Jao Ying Noi Boat along the unique canals with lot of old Thai houses, temples and ancient places lining up the whole route of Chao Phraya River trip. An interesting way of seeing different Thai way of life. Temple of Dawn was built during the glory day of the Ayutthaya period and was originally called Wat Makok. Then Ayutthaya fell to Burma and was later liberated by King Taksin. As he sailed down the river to look for a location to build the new capital, he saw the sunrise at Wat Arun. So it has been known as the Temple of Dawn Since. The most attractive structure in this temple is the 67 meters-high pagoda or Phra Prang, which is decorated with ceramic tiles and fragments of multi-colored porcelain. And the most beautiful view of it is from the east side of the river at sunset. |

The Grand Palace is a truly amazing architectural construction. It is a large complex covering an area of 218,000 square meters which was built in the early years of Chakkri dynasty. The complex consists of four large groups of building serving different royal functions. The first one is the Wat Pra Keaw a royal religious temple. The second is the royal ceremonial complex containing the Chakri Maha Prasat Hall. The third is the royal residence and guest residence, the Borom Phiman Mansion. This is a private zone not a tourist area. The forth is the staff and governmental offices.There are plenty of tour guides to give visitors historical aspects of this beautiful palace. It is certainly a must see for all visitors |
